Joseph Patrice M'Bock (born April 20, 1983 in Edéa , Cameroon ; also written Mbock ) is a French football player with Cameroonian roots.

Career

Originally from the youth department of the French AJ Auxerre , M'Bock moved to FC Bayern Munich in the 2001/02 season in whose second team he was used; but only on March 2, 2002 (23rd matchday) - after he had to endure two knee operations - in the goalless draw in the away game against SpVgg Ansbach 09 .

The defender, who was mainly used as a left full- back but also as a central defender, named Franco Baresi and Franz Beckenbauer as his role models, played into the regular formation of Hermann Gerland's team immediately after his recovery . The coach certified that he had a very clear and routine style of play. When he could not realize his dream of becoming a professional at Bayern Munich in the 2004/05 season, he left the club at the end of the season.

He moved to Austria to the Bundesliga club ASKÖ Pasching , for whom he played eleven Bundesliga games in his first season and twice in the second qualifying round to participate in the UEFA Cup on August 11 and 25, 2005 against the Russian first division club Zenit Saint Petersburg .

In the 2006/07 season he played only five Bundesliga games for Pasching before moving to the fourth-class Lower Austrian national division SV Horn during the winter break . For this - promoted to the Regionalliga Ost at the end of the season - he played 21 third division games and the quarter-finals of the ÖFB Cup against the amateur team of Red Bull Salzburg, which were lost 3-1 on March 13, 2007 . He played his last Bundesliga game for SV Horn on June 6, 2008 (30th matchday) in a 1-1 draw at home against SV Mattersburg's second team . After that, it was no longer used until December 31, 2009. He then moved to ASKÖ Donau Linz in the Upper Austrian League for six months and then ended his active football career. At the ASKÖ Donau Linz he is currently working as an assistant trainer for the U-14s and as an individual trainer.
