Patricia Blair

Patricia Blair (born January 15, 1933 in Fort Worth , Texas as Patsy Lou Blake , † September 9, 2013 in North Wildwood , New Jersey ) was an American actress .

Life

Blair grew up in Dallas and initially worked as a model until she got a film contract with Warner Brothers . She made her film debut in David Butler's war film The Hell of Dien Bien Phu alongside Peter van Eyck . She had other supporting roles alongside Julie London in the film noir Crime Against Joe and alongside the horror film legends Bela Lugosi , Lon Chaney junior and John Carradine in The Chamber of Horrors of Dr. Thosti .

In the 1960s, the focus of her work shifted to television. Between 1962 and 1963 she was seen in 22 episodes as Lou Mallory in the western series West of Santa Fé . In 1964 she was the female lead role of Rebecca Boone in on the historical figure of Daniel Boone -based adventure series Daniel Boone , she represented until 1970 in a total of 118 episodes, and through which they gained notoriety when US television audience. She then played guest roles in television series such as Petrocelli for a few years before she retired into private life after a last, small role in Sydney Pollack's The Electric Rider .

Blair died in her home in September 2013 of complications from breast cancer .
