Patricia Buhler Morceli (* 11. July 1974 as Patricia Bieri ) is a Swiss long-distance runner .

Career

In 2007 she became the Swiss marathon champion . In 2009 she first became the Swiss champion in the 10 km road race and then secured the national title in this discipline as fifth overall in the Zurich Marathon . With her time of 2:38:44 h she qualified for the World Championships in Berlin . Shortly thereafter, she became Swiss champion in the 10,000 meter run . In Berlin she reached the 38th place in the marathon.

In 2010 she defended her title in the 10,000 meter run. She did not finish the marathon at the European Championships in Barcelona .

She runs for TV Cham and was trained by her father Pius Bieri .

From 1997 to 2002 she was married to the Algerian middle-distance runner and Olympic champion Noureddine Morceli . The mother of two children is a qualified masseuse .

On September 5, 2009, she married Andy Bühler and has since then had the real name Patricia Bühler-Morceli, but competes in sports as Patricia Morceli Bühler . She is trained by Fritz Schmucker .
