Patrick Gasienica (born November 28, 1998 ) is an American ski jumper .

Personal

Patrick Gasienica is from McHenry , Illinois . He graduated from Richmond Burton Community High School in Richmond . His father, Albert Gasienica , was a Polish ski jumper before moving to the United States as a young adult.

Career

Patrick Gasienica made his debut on September 12 and 13, 2015 in two competitions in Einsiedeln, Switzerland, in the FIS Cup , where he finished 63rd and 65th; since then he has regularly competed in the FIS Cup, with his best result so far (as of March 2019) a ninth place in Park City , Utah on December 19, 2018.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2016 in Rasnov , Romania, Gasienica was disqualified in the individual competition and only finished 12th and last in the team competition together with Nathan Mattoon , Casey Larson and Kevin Bickner . A year later he finished 53rd in the individual competition at the 2017 World Junior Ski Championships in Park City , Utah , and in the team competition he reached 11th place with Decker Dean , Trevor Edlund and Casey Larson.

On February 26, 2017, Gasienica made her debut in Iron Mountain , Michigan in the Continental Cup and finished 43th and 41st.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , Gasienica was not able to qualify as twice 56th in the qualification for both individual competitions. In the team competition on February 26, 2019, he finished 11th together with Andrew Urlaub , Kevin Bickner and Casey Larson.
