Andrew Urlaub (born April 12, 2001 ) is an American ski jumper .
Career
Andrew Urlaub made his debut in two competitions in Eau Claire , Wisconsin in the FIS Cup on February 12 and 13, 2016 , where he finished 32nd once and was disqualified once; since then he has regularly competed in the FIS Cup, with his best result so far (as of March 2019) being fifth in Park City , Utah on December 20, 2018.
With a victory at the FIS competition on September 14, 2018 on the central hill of the Trambulina Valea Cărbunării ski jumping facility in Râșnov , Romania , Urlaub won the FIS Carpath Cup 2018/19 ahead of Radu Păcurar and Radek Selcer .
At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2018 in Kandersteg , Switzerland , Urlaub took 50th place in the individual competition and 12th place in the team competition together with Decker Dean , Hunter Gibson and Casey Larson . In the mixed team competition he was 10th together with Logan Sankey , Annika Belshaw and Casey Larson. A year later, he took 27th place in the individual competition at the 2019 Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti , and in the team competition he reached with Canden Wilkinson , Decker Dean and Greyson Scharffs only 13th place, in the mixed team competition with Paige Jones , Annika Belshaw and Greyson Scharffs 12th place.
On January 12, 2019, Urlaub made his debut in the Continental Cup in Bischofshofen and finished in 53rd place. Less than a week later, he was 29th in Sapporo, Japan , collecting his first two Continental Cup points. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , Urlaub reached 44th place in the individual competition on the large hill, for the competition on the normal hill he just failed to qualify for the competition in 51st of the qualification. In the team competition on February 26, 2019, he finished 11th together with Patrick Gasienica , Kevin Bickner and Casey Larson.
At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2020 in Oberwiesenthal , Urlaub jumped to 18th place in the individual and was also tenth with the team and eleventh in the mixed.
