Patrick Raymond Leonard (born March 14, 1956 in Crystal Falls , Michigan ) is an American songwriter , keyboard player and record producer .

Life

In the late 1970s he became a member of the band Trillion , with Dennis "Fergie" Frederiksen as lead singer.

Leonard became a successful music producer, producing tracks for Pink Floyd , Roger Waters , Boz Scaggs , Deborah Blando , Peter Cetera , Bryan Ferry , Elton John , Anna Vissi , Jody Watley , Rod Stewart , Madonna , Blue October , Rachel Loy , Toy Matinee , Kevin Gilbert , Third Matinee , Leonard Cohen , Adam Cohen and Richard Page .

In 1997 Leonard released the new age album Rivers on his own record label Unitone.

Leonard is married to Olivia d'Abo and has a daughter named Jessie (who inspired the song Dear Jessie ) and two sons.
