Detlef Wilhelm Patrick Lynen (born November 22, 1967 in Würselen , then district Aachen , today city ​​region Aachen ) is a German moderator , producer and consultant in the media sector.

Life and work

Before he graduated from high school in Würselen, he worked for the radio. As a presenter of various local broadcasters in German-speaking Belgium, he gained his first experience with the medium.

His next stations were an internship at RTL Radio (Radio Luxemburg) and freelance work at WDR . This was followed by activities at various broadcasters and media companies, including RTL Television , Deutschlandfunk / Deutschlandradio Kultur, MDR , SWF3 / SWR3 , SFB / RBB , VIVA , Deutsche Welle , radio NRW , HR , BRF (Belgischer Rundfunk), SAT.1 , Berliner Rundfunk , BRAINPOOL AG , NDR , ZFP and Deutsche Hörfunkakademie , NDR1, bigFM , NRJ and others.

SWR3 left Lynen shortly after the merger of SWF3 and SDR3 and then moderated for two years for hr3 .

From March to the end of May 2007 he hosted the talk show NeoNox, which ran on various German radio stations and on digital television. From 2008 to 2011 Lynen hosted the hr1's early morning program . He could then be heard as a moderator on DRadio Wissen . Since 2000 he has been working primarily as a lecturer, consultant and coach for private and public media companies. Patrick Lynen is a trainer at the ARD.ZDF medienakademie . From mid-2015 Lynen moderated the storytelling format "Die Runde Ecke" on WDR television , originally a YouTube project in which people told stories from their lives. In 2019 there was a collaboration with the entrepreneur and Youtuber Peter Weber. Lynen designed the "Die Runde Ecke" format for the "Hello Opinion" project, which was previously broadcast on WDR. In 2020 there was a falling out with Weber, the collaboration was then ended.
