Paul Claudon

Paul Jean Joseph Claudon (born September 5, 1919 in Pont-à-Mousson , † July 5, 2002 in Paris ) was a French film producer .

Life

Claudon came to film in 1944 and specialized in film comedies . With his film company Comptoir artistique de production et d'administration cinématographique (CAPAC), which was based in Paris, he realized comedies by Pierre Étaix , Yves Robert and Bertrand Blier, among others, from 1947 . For the 1974 short film … les borgnes sont Rois by Edmond Séchan , Claudon was awarded an Oscar in 1975 as a producer in the category of best short film. Occasionally he also appeared in small roles in film, for example in Yves Roberts The Twin (1984).

Claudon was a member of the jury at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1971 and the Cannes International Film Festival in 1979 .
