Paul Gottfried Pyl

Paul Gottfried Pyl (born January 26, 1751 in Barth ; † August 11, 1830 in Greifswald ) was a German lawyer, attorney and judge at the Greifswald court .

Life

Paul Gottfried Pyl was the second son of Barther doctor Theodor Pyl (1718–1759) and his wife Anna Dorothea Stump, daughter of a domain tenant. He attended high school in Stralsund and studied at the University of Greifswald from 1772 . He became a notary in 1776, a lawyer in 1778, secretary of the church visitation and advocate at the Wismar Tribunal in 1782 . In 1791 he became procurator at the Greifswald court and in 1803 at the tribunal. In the same year his doctorate him the University of Frankfurt (Oder) for both rights Doctor . Gustav IV Adolf of Sweden appointed him assessor of the court in 1806 . In 1808 he took over the function of fiscal .

Paul Gottfried Pyl was married twice. His first marriage to Agnete Christine Hagemeister (1759–1800), daughter of the university secretary Lucas Friedrich Hagemeister (1731–1770), came from the future judiciary Gottfried Theodor Pyl (1791–1853). With his second wife Sophie Christine Gesterding (1768–1826), a daughter of the lawyer Christoph Gottfried Nicolaus Gesterding (1740–1802), he had a son and a daughter.
