Paul Hör (born March 23, 1948 in Vienna ; † February 20, 2011 there ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

Paul Hör was already on stage as a 7-year-old, as a troll in The Magic of Christmas in the Theater der Jugend in Vienna. After compulsory school he completed an apprenticeship as a cook. He then began his acting training at the Krauss drama school , where he took his final exam in 1970.

He received his first theater engagements at the Badische Kammerschauspiele, the later “Deutsche Kammerschauspiele”, in Freiburg im Breisgau as well as in Zurich, Winterthur and at the Städtebundtheater Biel-Solothurn . With Our Little City he went on tour through Germany and Switzerland with Will Quadflieg , among others .

From 1972 to 1982 Paul Hör was engaged at the Vorarlberger Landestheater and, among other things, played the title role in the 1978 world premiere of "Herr Floridus" by Lotte Ingrisch as part of the Bregenz Festival .

From 1982 to 2002 he had an engagement at the Salzburger Landestheater , where he also excelled in musicals. At Heinz Conrads he had a TV appearance with the song “Mr. Cellophane “from Chicago . In 1996 he played the station master in The Cherry Orchard , directed by Peter Stein, and in 1997 made a guest appearance in Edinburgh with this piece .

Paul Hör moved to Vienna in 2002 after a heart operation and retired. He was buried at the Ober Sankt Veiter Friedhof (L-28) in Vienna.
