Life

Born the daughter of Emma and Karl Gruber, Charlotte Gruber was married to the philosopher Hugo Ingrisch from 1949 to 1965 , whose last name became her stage name. From 1966 Ingrisch was the wife of the Austrian composer Gottfried von Eine , who died in 1996 , for whom she also wrote a number of libretti and lyrics . The best known is probably the Gnostic mystery opera Jesu Hochzeit , the premiere of which in 1980 at the Theater an der Wien led to a theater scandal because of alleged blasphemy and brought it a letter bomb from the terrorist Franz Fuchs , albeit at an outdated address.

In her early creative period (1950s and 1960s) Lotte Ingrisch published humorous novels under the pseudonym Tessa Tüvari , then psychological novels under her own name. From the mid-sixties she wrote comedies , magic antics , science fiction , radio plays , television plays , libretti and non -fiction books .

Since 1970 she has been dealing with consciousness , death and afterlife research , animal law , social utopias and right-hemispheric reform education , also in her books . Besides articles on transcendence , she wrote two detective novels. At that time she lived with her husband Gottfried von Eine mainly in the Waldviertel , especially in Rindlberg (part of the municipality of Bad Großpertholz ), Oberdürnbach (municipality of Maissau ) and, most recently, Weikertschlag an der Thaya . In her books she repeatedly refers to these geomantically interesting places because of their fault zones . After the death of her husband, she donated her house in Oberdürnbach as Gottfried von Eine-Museum to the community of Maissau, which organizes concerts there every year.

In 1990 Lotte Ingrisch transferred her literary legacy to the Austrian Literature Archive . In 1993 she founded the "School of Immortality" to take away people's fear of death and was committed to self-determined dying with dignity. Ingrisch is Vice President of the Gottfried von Eine Musik-Privatstiftung and founded the International Gottfried von Eine Society in 2010, which she made her universal heiress and whose President is the composer and conductor Heinz Karl (Nali) Gruber. Through her marriage to Gottfried von Eine she is the stepmother of the former Austrian Minister of the Interior, Science and Transport a. D. Caspar One .

At the end of a conversation about her apartment in the Vienna Hofburg , Lotte Ingrisch said in autumn 2014: “I'm already looking forward to the smallest room I will ever have lived in - the coffin. [...] I wish I were dead. If euthanasia was legal in Austria, I would have signed up for the garbage disposal long ago. I'm 84 and I sang my song. End of performance. "
