Paul Hieronymus Child

Paul Hieronymus Kind (born September 22, 1847 in Chur , † November 3, 1922 in Mitlödi ) was a Swiss Reformed pastor .

Life

Paul Hieronymus Kind was the son of Paul Gottlob Kind and Barbara Adelheid von Salis. He attended a private school in Milan and then the Protestant school in Schiers , of which his father was the principal. He then continued his training at a grammar school in Basel . At Easter 1866 he passed his Matura in Chur. In 1868/1869 he studied Protestant theology at the University of Tübingen , was accepted into the Evangelical-Rhaetian Synod in Tamins a year later on July 5 and became pastor in Schuders . At the same time he taught German and history at the school in Schiers.

Shortly afterwards he gave up the parish profession and devoted himself fully to teaching. From 1878 to 1879 he was pastor in Valzeina , in 1879 he became pastor in Schwanden GL . He kept this pastoral position until his death on November 3, 1922.
