Paul Kipngetich Tanui

Paul Kipngetich Tanui (born December 22, 1990 in Nakuru ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

Life

At the 2009 World Cross Country Championships in Amman, he finished fourth in the junior race and won gold with the team. He was then brought to Japan by Kenyan trainer Stephen Mayaka , where he was signed by the Kyudenko company's corporate team .

At the beginning of 2010 he became the Kenyan cross-country champion by more than 30 seconds . This made him the favorite for the senior race at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz , where he finished eighth and won gold with the Kenyan team.

At the 2013 World Championships in Moscow and 2015 in Beijing , he won bronze over 10,000 meters . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, he won the silver medal over the same distance. In 2017 he won his third bronze medal over 10,000 meters at the World Championships in London.
