Paul Noack-Ihlenfeld
Paul Noack-Ihlenfeld (born February 26, 1902 in Peitz , Cottbus district , † April 5, 1962 in East Berlin ) was a German composer and pianist .
Noack-Ihlenfeld studied piano with Conrad Ansorge and Josef Schwarz and composition with Wilhelm Klatte at the Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory in Berlin . Until the Second World War he worked as a teacher and pianist for the radio . Due to a war injury he gave up playing the piano in 1945 and turned to composition.
Noack-Ihlenfeld's music was shaped by a program linked to his real socialist present. He wrote mainly light music and became known to a wide audience with the operetta From the rain in the eaves and above all with the Friedensfahrt fanfare .
His grave is in the Karlshorster and Neue Friedrichsfelder Friedhof in Berlin-Karlshorst .
