Paul Poser
Paul Poser (born October 12, 1876 in Zeulenroda , † December 30, 1940 in Berlin ) was a German architect . He mainly designed municipal and residential buildings.
Life
After training as a stonemason in Zerbst , Poser completed a degree in architecture at the Technical University of Charlottenburg . From 1907 worked for the Berlin Terrain-Centrale , which developed the garden city Frohnau . Here he was responsible for several buildings such as the polo field building, the Barbarossahöhe settlement, the pagoda on Zeltinger Platz and the Villa Worch (today Centré Bagatelle). From 1922 he worked in partnership with the architect Bernhard Bamm (1899–1956). Poser's office was on Bahnhofsplatz in Berlin-Frohnau. Numerous Poser buildings in the Reinickendorf district are listed buildings . Poser also earned his living planning and supervising civil engineering work such as the paving of Nohlstrasse in Glienicke / Nordbahn .
“Poser is initially assigned to the“ country house ”and“ home style ”, which are characterized by the use of“ local ”materials and decorative quotes from peasant and rural architecture. Curved, almost baroque forms are characteristic of Poser. "
