Paul Shin'ichi Itonaga

Paul Shin'ichi Itonaga ( Japanese パ ウ ロ 糸 永 真 一 , Pauro Itonaga Shin'ichi ; born July 23, 1928 in Hirado , Nagasaki Prefecture ; † December 10, 2016 ) was a Japanese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Kagoshima .

Life

Paul Shinichi Itonaga was ordained a priest on September 14, 1952 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on November 15, 1969 Bishop of Kagoshima. The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Japan, Archbishop Bruno Wüstenberg , donated him episcopal ordination on January 18 of the following year ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Asajirō Satowaki , Archbishop of Nagasaki , and Peter Saburō Hirata PSS , Bishop of Fukuoka .
