Paul von Guilleaume (born November 11, 1893 in Cologne ; † December 16, 1970 ) was a German automobile racing driver and motorsport official .

Career

Paul von Guilleaume won the Harz mountain race in the Harz Mountains on a Steyr in 1925 . On July 11, 1926 , he started at the Berlin AVUS on Austro-Daimler at the German Grand Prix, which was held for the first time . On August 15 of the same year he won the race at the Hohen Eule near Breslau in the 12-tax horsepower class (= 3144 cm³), and on October 3, 1926, von Guilleaume won the field hill climb on the Großer Feldberg im Taunus in the automobile class from 3 to 5 liters displacement (12 tax horsepower) with a Steyr . He also won a hill climb in Siebertal near Goslar in 1926 , also in the 12-tax-horsepower class.

In 1927 Paul von Guilleaume won the Buckower triangle race in the racing car class up to 3 liters on Steyr. Ten years later. In 1937 , he finished ninth and fifth overall in the 2-liter class with Otto Löhr at the Le Mans 24-hour race with the new Adler-Trumpf 1.7-liter racing sedan , in 1938 overall seventh and winner of the 1st 5 liter class.

In 1951 a class win followed in the long-distance Liège - Rome - Liège race together with Heinz Graf von der Mühle in a Porsche .

After his racing career, Paul von Guilleaume was ADAC sports president for a few years . He died on December 16, 1970 at the age of 77.
