Paula Cole
Paula Cole (born April 5, 1968 in Rockport , Massachusetts ) is an American singer-songwriter and Grammy award winner.
life and career
Cole grew up in her hometown; her mother was an elementary school teacher, her father biology professor at Salem State College and polka - musicians . She attended Rockport High School , where she also took part in theatrical productions such as the musical South Pacific . She then studied jazz singing and improvisation at Berklee College of Music in Boston . She turned down the offer for a record deal with a jazz label.
Cole accompanied Peter Gabriel on his Secret World tour in 1993 . She had her biggest solo hit with Where Have All The Cowboys Gone . Other hits were I Don't Want To Wait - with which she contributed the title track to the popular youth series Dawson's Creek - and I Believe In Love .
