Paula Guedes

Paula de Azevedo e Silva Guedes de Carvalho (born October 12, 1953 in Matosinhos ) is a Portuguese actress .

Life

Paula Guedes is the daughter of the actor and director João Guedes and Maria Estela de Azevedo da Silva. She started ballet at a young age and was a member of the Leixões Sport Club in the athletics , volleyball and sailing departments .

At the age of twelve she appeared on stage for the first time in the comedy "Pluft, The Little Ghost" by Alda Rodrigues at the Teatro Experimental do Porto . Among other things, she was a member of Grupo 4 , which founded the Teatro Aberto in Lisbon in 1975 . She played in 1994 at the Teatro Politeama in Pablo Rodríguez '"Maldita cocaína" directed by Filipe La Féria and in 2004 at the Teatro da Trindade in "12 Mulheres e 1 Cadela" by Inês Pedrosa , directed by São José Lapa . She was more successful in the field of film and television, where she was seen for the first time in a supporting role in Nós por cá Todos Bem by Fernando Lopes in 1978 and in the same year in the role of Teresinha in Artur Semedos O Rei das Berlengas .

She is the great-aunt of the journalist Rodrigo Guedes de Carvalho and the director Tiago Guedes .
