Paulo Antônio Pereira Pinto (born January 28, 1948 in Recife ) is a former Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Paulo Antônio Pereira Pinto is the son of Maria José Ney Pereira Pinto and José Paulo Pereira Pinto.

Pinto joined the civil service at Itamarity in 1970 and graduated from the University of Brasília with a degree in economics in 1973 .

On 6 February 1976 he was appointed secretary of legation third class and as an assistant in the Department of American States and as chargé d'affaires in Libreville used. A year later he was transferred to Maputo , and on June 21, 1979 he was promoted to second-class legation secretary. In the same year Pinto was appointed Chargé d'affaires in Pretoria and in 1982 in Beijing . On June 29, 1984, in recognition of his achievements, he was promoted to first-class legation secretary. A year later he was appointed as an assessor in the Asia and Oceania department.

Further positions as chargé d'affaires were from 1986 in Kuala Lumpur , where he was also appointed to the management of the Comité Executivo da Associação dos Países Produtores de Estanho (ATPC), then from 1989 in Singapore and from 1991 in Manila , where he became on December 20 In 1993 he was promoted to the Legation Council in recognition of his services, then from 1994 in Shanghai and from 1995 in Jakarta .
