Pavel Pergl (born November 14, 1977 in Prague ; † May 1, 2018 in Magdeburg ) was a Czech football player .
Career
Pavel Pergl started playing football at ČKD Kompresory, in 1987 he moved to the youth department of Sparta Prague . To collect match practice, he was loaned to the third division team Pelikán Děčín in 1997. Further stations of the defender were the first division clubs Chmel Blšany , FK Drnovice and Marila Příbram .
At the beginning of 2003 Pergl returned to Sparta Prague and was able to fight for a regular place. In the second half of the 2005/06 season he was loaned to Dynamo Dresden . He played there in the 2nd Bundesliga 17 games in which he scored one goal. He then returned to Prague, but was deleted from the squad for lack of perspective and did not play a single game.
In the winter of 2006/07 a move to Rapid Vienna seemed possible, after all Pergl was loaned by the English second division club Preston North End . After initially performing well, the defender was no longer deployed and the club did not take the two-year option.
In the summer of 2007, Pergl moved to the Cypriot first division club AEK Larnaka , and in January 2009 he returned to Dynamo Dresden, where he received a contract until summer 2010. However, he already dissolved this at the end of June 2009 by making use of an agreed exit clause. Pergl then signed a one-year contract with the Israeli team Hapoel Beer Sheva . At the beginning of July 2010 he left the club and signed a one-year contract with AC Bellinzona .
Pavel Pergl committed suicide on May 1, 2018 at the age of 40 years in his home in the Magdeburg district Friedenweiler life .
