Career

Pavlo Yachnyk began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league Continental Junior Hockey League , which played for the Erie Blizzard in 2010/11 . In the same season he was also temporarily active for the second team of HK Sokil Kiev in the Ukrainian ice hockey league. When the Professional Hockey League was introduced as the new Ukrainian professional league in 2011 , he switched to the second team of HK Donbass Donetsk , with whom he won this league in 2012 and thus became Ukrainian champion . He then moved to HK Berkut , with whom he also played in the professional hockey league. With the team he was able to win the main round of the 2012/13 season , but the admission to the playoffs was denied to the club due to financial problems. After these then also led to the dissolution of the professional team, Yachnyk moved back to Donetsk and was used in the junior team Molodaja Gwardija Donetsk in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League . In 2014 he ended his career at the age of just 21.
