Peggy Jane Rea (born March 31, 1921 in Los Angeles , California - † February 5, 2011 in Toluca Lake , California) was an American actress .

Life

Born in Los Angeles, she left the University of California in Los Angeles to continue studying at the vocational school . Then she became MGM's production secretary .

In 1947 she moved to New York to get on stage. She appeared twice at the Brodway Theater in 1950 : as Eunice Hubbell in a revival of A Streetcar Named Desire and in the Cole Porter musical Out of This World . She took a break from acting for some time to work as a production secretary on Gunsmoke and other Los Angeles television shows. Peggy Rea's comeback took place in 1962. Her movies include The Mysterious Dr. Lao (1964) and Back from Hell (1989).

Career

Peggy Rea gained notoriety mainly through small but distinctive roles in series such as The Waltons , A Duke Seldom Comes Alone , Charlie's Angels and A Strong Family . Furthermore, Rea was seen in supporting roles in various cinema productions until the end of the 1990s, including Made in America and Love Field - love without borders . She also played the role of Rose Burton, the cousin of Olivia Walton in the television series The Waltons .

Peggy Rea died of heart failure in her home on February 5, 2011 .
