Michail "Michalis" Pelekanos ( Greek Μιχαήλ "Μιχάλης" Πελεκάνος , born May 25, 1981 in Korydallos ) is a Greek basketball player who is 1.98 m tall and can be used in the positions of the shooting guard or the small forward.

Career

At club level

Pelekanos began his career in 1999 with the GS Peristeri . There he had signed a five-year contract. With the completion of his contract he moved to AEK Athens within the A1 Ethniki . He spent the 2006/07 season at Panellinios Athens and then Real Madrid lured him to the ACB league for the 2007/08 season . Back in Greece he played from 2008 for Olympiacos who had awarded him to the GS Marousi for the 2009/10 season . With Olympiakos he won the Euroleague and the Greek championship in the 2011/12 season . He then moved to Aris Saloniki for whom he played until 2014. He then moved abroad again and spent the 2014/15 season at CSU Asesoft Ploieşti with whom he was able to win the Romanian championship. For the 2015/16 season Aris brought him back to the Greek basketball league. With this Pelekanos earned fourth place in the league. The following summer, Pelekanos announced his move to the second division and moved to Panionios Athens .

National team

Pelekanos was part of the Greek national team at the 2007 European Championships in Spain and at the 2008 Olympic Games .
