Perryton is the district capital and seat of the county seat of Ochiltree County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located in the far north of Texas, in the Texas Panhandle , on US Highway 83 on the Oklahoma border and has a total area of ​​11.5 km 2 , of which 0.1 km 2 is water.

The place was founded in 1919 and named after George M. Perry , an early district judge in the area.
