Pestinghausen

Pestinghausen belongs to the district of Nordwohlde in the town of Bassum in the district of Diepholz ( Lower Saxony ). It has around 125 residents.

geography

Pestinghausen is located between Nordwohlde and Syke , about 1.5 km from both places. Pestinghausen is located approx. 19 km south of Bremen .

Rivers / streams

The Riengraben flows in a southerly direction through the village, crosses  under the state road 340 west of the town center and flows into the Finkenbach at Högenhausen ; this is approx. 10 km long and joins the Hombach south of Nordwohlde .

Pestinghausen is located on both sides of the state road 340, which runs from Nordwohlde to Syke in a west-east direction.

history

On March 1, 1974, the municipality of Nordwohlde was incorporated into the city of Bassum.

Pestinghausen does not have its own church. The next Evangelical Church is in Nordwohlde . There is also a Catholic church in Syke .

politics

Pestinghausen belongs to the village of Nordwohlde within the city of Bassum and does not have its own mayor.

Culture and sights

  • The Westermark forest area is a popular destination for many hikers and nature lovers.
  • Every year from mid-July to mid-August, the wild-growing orchid broad-leaved stendola ( Epipactis helleborine ) blooms in considerable numbers in the Westermark.
