Peter Brock (writer)
Peter Brock (born August 6, 1916 in Bismarckhütte as Rudolf Brock ; † September 28, 1982 in Teltow ) was a German writer who also used the pseudonym Peter Korb .
Life
Peter Brock first studied German and then at the Johannes R. Becher Institute in Leipzig . He worked as a publishing editor in Halle and from 1960 lived in the Seehof district of Teltow . He began his career with the dramatization of literary models for various television films, in which he occasionally worked as a supporting actor, so in 1965 he took over the role of lay judge in Lots Weib .
Brock wrote several children's books, of which Gestatten - Oskar (stories about a particularly cheeky student) was the best known, but also Der kleine Kuno (little boy runs away from home to find out what adults do at night and ends up in a Paul Robeson concert) and Die Wunderbrille (poor pupil gets glasses with which he can see around the corner) were very popular. Little Kuno was first released in 1959 as a DEFA film by Kurt Jung-Alsen .
