Alex Wedding Prize

The Alex Wedding Prize was a literary prize for books for children and young people that was awarded every two to three years by the Berlin Academy of the Arts on the occasion of the birthday of Alex Wedding (formerly Grete Weiskopf) . The prize was donated in 1967 from the estate of the namesake and was awarded every two to three years on May 11th, her birthday. It was last endowed with 5000 euros. The last award was in 2008.
