Peter Carl Geissler

Peter Carl Geissler (also Geissler ; * 2. January 1802 in Leipzig , † 27. February 1872 in Nuremberg ) was a German watercolor - painter , engraver and publisher .

Life

Peter Carl Geissler was one of the sons of the engraver Christian Gottfried Heinrich Geißler . He was a student of Albert Christoph Reindel (1784-1853) at the art school in Nuremberg . There he founded a publishing bookstore and Illuminiranstalt in 1830 . Geissler's son Rudolf , also spelled Rudolph (1834–1906), also became a painter, draftsman and illustrator in Nuremberg.
