The remarkable post-war modernist single-family house was designed in 1963 by Kurt Nowotny , architect of the main post office in Leipzig . It is a home construction after individual draft processing. The client was the senior medical officer Dr. Werner Ludwig , President of the DRK in the GDR. He had acquired the property from the previous owner Arthur Hans Leuner. The house should be in the III. Quarter of 1964 to be completed, the shell usage acceptance took place in June 1965. The building was mostly constructed from traditional materials, the ceilings and roof construction were designed as Ackermann ceilings. The colors moved between the red brick walls and the other surfaces made of light to white, medium-grained scratch plaster. Parquet, linoleum and stoneware tiles were used for the floors. All ceilings and roof areas received insulation layers made of cork screed. Windows and doors were made of wood. The striking building is significant in terms of architectural history and architecture, as an impressive example of post-war modernism, which was based on the international style prevailing at the time and as a remarkable building in terms of design. The public interest in conservation arises in particular from a broad group of experts who appreciate and treat such buildings as monuments. There are now some examples of this type that have been recorded as monuments, especially in the old federal states, such as a single-family house built in 1958 for the mine director Wilhelm Brandhoff in Dortmund-Hombruch. The few changes to Eibauer Straße 17 (gate, door, window and lack of wood paneling on the upper floor) do not reduce the monument value, especially since these parts are reversible. Apart from this, the breakdowns of the window and door openings correspond to the design plan (LfD / 2017).

The building erected in 1810 is located in the upper part of Grundstrasse, in the Bühlau district. The two-story rural building is enlivened by half-timbering on the upper floor. It was built by the Kleinhufner Huhle. His wife worked as a laundress. Aside from its architectural historical value as a characteristic example of rural architecture at the beginning of the 19th century, it is also a typical local house owner's property, i.e. smallholders with their own house, but only a small amount of real estate, on Grundstraße (LfD / 2011).
  5. a b c d e f g h i Individual monument of the material entity Mönchsholz: double dwelling house with enclosure; Building of a small residential complex with traditionally designed buildings, enlivened by folding shutters, sparingly used structures and a few expressionist details, built by Spar- und Bauverein Bühlau and the surrounding area, significant in terms of building history, local history and social history (see also Mönchsholz 1 to 21).

The date of 1780 on a plaque on the courtyard side of the former stable house does not necessarily have to refer to the time of origin. An emergence at the beginning of the 19th century is more likely. In essence, the building could be older. It is said to have been extended to the rear by an annex around 1830, about 2-3 axles. The extension is massive both on the ground floor and on the upper floor. In contrast, the main part consists of a massive ground floor and an upper floor with a half-timbered construction. The characteristic half-timbered construction shows sleepers, stalks, frames and half-man figures or K-struts, the latter especially at the corners. The pitched roof has an impressive construction. According to the building file, the back side is said to have been added at the end of the 19th century. An oven from a bakery has been preserved on the ground floor. The remaining part of the stable wing appears with caps on pillars and consoles. The elongated building is a characteristic and largely original testimony to rural architecture and folk architecture of its time. The striking half-timbered construction with extremely strong woods shows a structure typical of its time of origin. The half man figures are striking. Although there were later installations, the old room structure has largely been preserved, including the comprehensible stable wing. From what has been explained so far, there is an architectural significance. The property is also important for the house landscape in and around Dresden. Apart from its architectural significance, Quohrener Straße 62 is part of the significant village center of Quohren. This results in a local historical value. The half-timbered upper storey with K-struts suggests that the house was built around 1700/1730, probably with a ground floor framework. The roof structure with the leafed collar beams and the leafed rider structure as a central longitudinal structure also fit in with this. This gives the house a special monument value, especially for Bühlau / Quohren (Noky, LfD / 2011).
