Remarks

  • This list is not suitable for deriving binding statements on the monument status of an object. As far as a legally binding determination of the listed property of an object is desired, the owner can apply to the responsible lower monument protection authority for a notice.
  • The official list of cultural monuments is never closed. It is permanently changed through clarifications, new additions or deletions. A transfer of such changes to this list is not guaranteed at the moment.
  • The monument quality of an object does not depend on its entry in this or the official list. Objects that are not listed can also be monuments.
  • Basically, the property of a monument extends to the substance and appearance as a whole, including the interior. Deviating applies if only parts are expressly protected (e.g. the facade).

Detailed memorial texts

  1. The complex was probably built towards the end of the 19th century, and parts of it could also be a bit older. It is a structural testimony to the rural architecture of that time. Since around 1850 at the latest, this has mostly been characterized by solid buildings. In addition, it makes the old village center of Zschieren tangible, especially with the buildings number 62, 66 and 72 opposite. According to what has been set out here, the property of a monument results from the building and local historical value. The courtyard was modernized during the last renovation and adapted to today's comfort requirements. But apart from a few wooden extensions on the courtyard side of the former stable house, the building remained largely in its original condition in terms of substance, cubature (building envelope) and wall-opening ratio. For example, the jam windows under the eaves of the side building, retained in their old size, speak for this. The two former gate openings on the barn also appear in their old form. The current gable design on the side building is remarkable. There was originally a freight elevator here, marked by a wooden hatch. This motif was cleverly captured during the renovation. Also of importance is the fact that the facility can still be experienced as a closed three-sided courtyard . Unfortunately, only a few old farms can still be used as such today. Most of them had to be converted into residential complexes, such as Struppener Straße 95. In order to largely preserve the substance and appearance, some changes cannot be avoided.
