The Unkersdorfer Church was built in the 14th century and, in addition to Unkersdorf, was also responsible for the neighboring towns of Steinbach and Roitzsch. In the years 1586 and 1613 the church was rebuilt by the Tharandt master builder Johann George Lorenz. The billeting of Prussian troops caused damage to the church, which was removed in 1766. In 1896 the Unkersdorf church received new bells and a new organ. Since 1931 the church has belonged to Weistropp as a branch church . |
