Sebastian-Bach-Straße 18 in Dresden, OT Blasewitz is a striking historicizing villa building from the late 19th century. The two-storey building with a hipped roof is dominated by a gabled risalit shifted to the left with elaborate wooden decorations and the corner on the right-hand side accented by a pointed hood and porch. Gothic motifs such as pointed arches, especially on the risalit, enliven the street facade. The property's status as a monument results from the testimony value for historicism. This architectural epoch, which dominated until around 1900, was characterized by the imitation of earlier styles such as Romanesque, Gothic, etc. In addition, the structurally demanding and aesthetically appealing building has an artistic value and, as part of the important Blasewitz district, an urban development-historical value. Built by Karl Emil Scherz's father for his own use, rebuilt and expanded by Karl Emil Scherz in 1911, later also used by him as a museum for his "Local History Collection Blasewitz and the Surrounding Area"

1874–1876 (school) The dominant main wing is broadly laid out over an L-shaped floor plan, plus a rear extension with a modern extension (the latter is not a cultural monument), buildings show characteristic historicizing façades, especially designed based on the German Renaissance, significant in terms of building history, local history and urban development history

With its broad main front on Kretschmerstrasse, the Blasewitz Citizens' School, built between 1874 and 1876 and expanded in 1900, appears as a characteristic historicizing building of its time, the design of which with decorative gables, characteristic window frames, etc. was primarily based on the German Renaissance. The wing on Wägnerstrasse, completed in 1876, was expanded in 1900 to include an extensive wing on Kretschmerstrasse. The older part comes from the architects Giese and Weidner , the extension by Karl Emil Scherz from 1900. The outbuilding at the corner of Wägnerstrasse and Brucknerstrasse was possibly the so-called Übelsche Villa, which was converted into a girls' school by Karl Emil Scherz in 1910. The monument quality of the school complex results from the testimony value for historicism. This architectural epoch, which dominated until around 1900, was characterized by the imitation of earlier styles such as Romanesque, Gothic, etc. In addition, the buildings in the complex, which are conspicuous in terms of design and aesthetically appealing to a viewer, also have an artistic value and, as part of the important Blasewitz district, an urban development-historical value. Added to this is its historical value as a former training center in the once independent place. inaugurated as simple elementary school from 1898 public school, later 63. Elementary school, now 63. primary school, according to the composer since 2006 Johann Gottlieb Naumann named

1889 (villa) Distinctive historicizing residential building from the late 19th century, with characteristic gable, corner accentuations, etc. designed based on the German or Northern European Renaissance, architecturally and artistically significant, also of importance as part of Blasewitz in terms of landscape design and urban development history

The property at Waldparktstraße 1 in Dresden, OT Blasewitz was built for the Limbach merchant Gustav Siems. The villa is a building from the early phase of the architectural work of Emil Scherz, one of the locally known architects who lived in Blasewitrz during his time. The historicist villa building with clinker brick facade, built in 1889, shows a strikingly designed wooden veranda with an exit on the north side. Its massive, compact structure is closed off by an irregular roof. With the emphasis on the corners and the two front risalits crowned by triangular gables, Scherz leaned on the German Renaissance when designing the villa. The building with all its decorative and structural elements has largely been preserved and thus forms a very clear and concise testimony to historicism, an architectural epoch that was characterized by the imitation of previous styles such as Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The central risalit on the Vogesenweg deserves special mention, which is adorned with a special decoration and ornamented segmented gable above the portal. It is emphasized by a keystone with a lion's head. With its garden and enclosure, Villa Siems fits into the forest park with the surrounding villa properties and at the same time stands monumentally on both the Waldparkstraße and the Vogesenweg. Today the building houses a nursing home. The monumental property of Waldparkstrasse 1 in Blasewitz results from the testimony value for historicism in the late 19th century, here as an adaptation of the German Renaissance. With a variety of decorative elements, it has an artistic value and is also important as part of the forest park and villa complex as well as the quarter in terms of landscape design and urban development history.

after 1875 (villa), around 1905 (gazebo) Distinctive historicizing building with echoes of the Swiss house style, architecturally significant from an artistic point of view, in connection with the suburb of Blasewitz also of importance in terms of urban development history

The striking building with ornamental framework and wide roof overhangs in the sense of the Swiss house style was built for Adolf Schwabe and his family. The design and probably also the execution of the country house-like building built after 1875 were in the hands of the master builder Friedrich Hartmann. The simple but eye-catching arbor on the corner was added around 1905 or a little later. The property is shielded from the surroundings by a fence made of sandstone pillars and iron fence panels. Due to its corner location, it comes into its own in terms of urban planning more than the surrounding buildings. As a largely original country house from the second half of the 19th century with echoes of the typical Swiss house style that was widespread at the time, Waldparkstraße 10 in Blasewitz is particularly important in terms of architectural history. With its extraordinary design, including the painted ornamentation, which particularly appeals to the aesthetic sensibility of a beholder, it also has an artistic value. In connection with the unique villa district of Blasewitz, the property to be assessed here is also relevant from an urban planning perspective.
