Gottlob Lindner received the approval to run an inn in 1780. After acquiring the row tavern, the inn developed into an important rest stop on the way to Freiberg. With the construction of the new road to Wilsdruff in 1812 and 1813, however, it lost its importance. Lindner opened the Gasthof zu Neupennrich in Kesselsdorf, which belonged to Gasthof Pennrich as a legal person. The restaurant was closed in 1994. The building is currently (as of 2016) being extensively renovated. A future use as a pub cannot be ruled out at the moment.
