Detailed memorial texts
- ↑ The impressive building of the "Schlosskelterei Pillnitz" was built in 1946, the gate to the courtyard and the associated building at the rear apparently two years later (dating from 1948 at the gate). Possibly the work dragged on until 1949. The property, a former winery, was used to produce apple juice. There was also a small farm with animals. In the front part of the two-storey winery building with a high pitched roof and arched gate to the street there was a hayloft in which the animal feed was stored and a warehouse. The living quarters were located on the Elbe side. The building is enlivened by shutters, profiles, especially under the eaves, an arched opening on the long side and the aforementioned gate. The property is a traditionally designed, still rural building from the middle of the 20th century with high design standards that has largely been preserved originally. In its form it is a rarity in the urban area of Dresden. Apart from that, the building, which was erected from 1946, is a reminder of a remarkable reconstruction work shortly after the Second World War and of an important chapter in local history. In addition, it forms an essential part of the village center of Niederpoyritz, which is still partially preserved with several gable houses.
