Peter Alexander Hackmair (born June 26, 1987 in Vöcklabruck ) is a former soccer player who today works as a lecturer, book author and coach.

"Keep on dreaming"
In his current project, Peter Alexander Hackmair deals with the development of potential. On his talk show he meets people who have made their dreams come true. He has summarized their most important findings in his latest work “Dream on”. Supplemented and refined by his own experience as a football professional, world traveler and coach. Building on the book, which appeared in April 2018, he also offers lectures and workshops.
Biography "changing dreams"
One month after the end of his career, on September 24th, 2012, Peter Alexander Hackmair published his first book “Träume Zeiten”, in which he shares his experiences in the professional football system as well as describing how he succeeded in fulfilling his greatest lifelong dream to let go to be open to new dreams.

His second work “FREIGerEIST” was published on November 30, 2014 and is about his 15-month trip around the world, during which he traveled to the following countries: India , New Zealand , Australia , Indonesia , the Netherlands , USA , Columbia , China .
Football career

Hackmair's career began at the age of six with the SK Kammer in Schörfling am Attersee . At the age of twelve he joined the SV Ried BNZ . In the 2006/07 season he signed his first professional contract with Ried. Hackmair made his debut in Austria's top division on August 5, 2006 in the 0-1 away defeat against SK Sturm Graz , when he came on for Patrick Wolf in the 63rd minute . SV Ried ended the season in second place behind RB Salzburg. During this time he suffered two serious knee injuries and a pubic bone infection. In 2011 he moved to Wacker Innsbruck . The Tyroleans scored two goals in 18 games in the 2011/12 season. He played his last Bundesliga game away against Sturm Graz. In the 30th minute he injured his knee and had to be replaced. On August 21, 2012, he ended his career as a professional footballer.
National team
Hackmair played in all of Austria's junior national teams, where he celebrated his greatest successes with the bronze medal at the U19 European Championship and 4th place at the U20 World Cup. In total, he came to 38 international appearances in all youth selections.

From start of the season 2015/16 and summer 2018 Hackmair worked for the ORF in live games as analyst . He emphasizes that he has no role model, but stated in an interview with the daily newspaper Der Standard that he was inspired by Mehmet Scholl .
As part of the presentation of the Athlete of the Year 2016 award , Hackmair was honored as an athlete with a heart .
In 2019 he took part in the ORF dance show Dancing Stars together with dance partner Julia Burghardt , where they were eliminated in the 5th show.
