Peter Heintel

Peter Heintel (born November 13, 1940 in Vienna ; † July 12, 2018 ) was an Austrian philosopher and professor of philosophy and group dynamics at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt , whose rector he was from 1974 to 1977.

Life

Heintel was 1963-1970 assistant at the University of Vienna and habilitated there in 1968 in philosophy and 1973 in group dynamics . From 1974 to 1977 he was rector of the University of Educational Sciences (later University of Educational Sciences, today Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt), from 2003 to 2005 chairman of the university's Senate. He also taught mediation and conflict management at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences . He retired in 2009. Heintel was a founding member of the Association for the Delay of Time .

Heintel is buried in the cemetery in the Pirk district of the Krumpendorf community.
