Peter Leukefeld

Peter Leukefeld (born March 23, 1937 in Mühlhausen ; died October 28, 1983 in Munich ) was a German writer and journalist.

Life

Leukefeld lived in Munich and was known as the author of snapshot books on current events. In 1980 he brought the book about Pope John Paul II 's visit to Germany on the market within 19 hours of the Pope's departure in the form of an illustrated Heyne pocket book ( Thank you, Holy Father ). He was also the author of adaptations of novels, for example in 1983 he wrote the novel for the science fiction film Imzeichen des Kreuzes, based on the screenplay by Hans-Rüdiger Minow. He was also the editor of several collections of jokes, including the series The Best Jokes in the World at Goldmann .
