Peter Platzer (student historian)

Peter Platzer (born February 9, 1954 in Vienna ) is a Swiss lawyer and student historian.

Life

Platzer attended the old canton school in Aarau . There he was a member of the student connection Zofingia Aarau. After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Zurich , the University of Vienna and the University of Bern and graduated with a law degree . He joined the student associations Manessia Zurich , Carolina Vienna and Berna Bernensis . After passing the exams as advocate and notary , he was Vice Director of the Swiss Trade Association from 1989 to 1992 . From 1989 to 1994 he was a member of the Cartel Commission . Today he is co-owner of a law firm and notary's office in Solothurn . In 1984 he was one of the founders of the Swiss Association for Student History and sat on its board until 2010. In 2012 he was made an honorary member. As a student historian , along with Robert Develey , Paul Ehinger and Peter Hauser, he is one of the leading experts on Swiss student associations .
