Peter Sindermann
Peter Sindermann (born June 6, 1939 on Capri ; † October 17, 1971 near Halle (Saale) ) was an actor in the GDR .
biography
Peter Sindermann was a stepson of the top politician of the GDR, Horst Sindermann . From 1958 to 1961 he studied acting at the Potsdam-Babelsberg University of Film and Television . An engagement at the theater in Halle (Saale) followed from 1963 to 1971. There he also took on roles in productions for the Moritzburg television theater . He played several times in cinema and television roles, including leading roles, for example as the title hero in the television series Hannes Scharf (GDR 1966). Sindermann was married to the actress Micaëla Kreißler . In this marriage a son was born, the future actor Andreas Sindermann.
Peter Sindermann had been in possession of a license as a flight instructor for small aircraft of the Jak-18 type since January 1971 and from September 1971 also for the Z-226 , an aerobatic and training aircraft made in the Czech Republic. On October 17, 1971, Sindermann, together with an 18-year-old student pilot, boarded the cockpit of a machine of this type and took off from what was then the GST airfield in Halle-Oppin . Shortly afterwards, the small plane over Halle-Neustadt went into a tailspin and crashed into a field shortly before the city limits of Halle (Saale). Both inmates lost their lives. The causes of this plane crash are still unexplained, but there are different theses, speculations and rumors. According to this, errors with the flight instructor or the student pilot as well as constructive reasons can have led to this accident. As a possible consequence of this crash, an additional keel was attached in front of the vertical tail unit in later-built Z-226 machines, as well as two additional flow strips to the left and right of the engine hood.
