Peter Telep
Peter W. Telep (born April 8, 1965 in Yonkers , New York , USA ) is an American novelist , screenwriter and university teacher.
Telep wrote nearly forty novels and screenplays for various television series, including an unrealized script for The Sopranos . His novels mostly belong to the genre of science fiction , or tell stories that deal with military special forces. In part, they also deal with the background stories of computer games , such as the Descent or Wing Commander series. Some of his novels have been translated into German. He wrote under pseudonyms such as Ben Weaver, PW Storm, and Pete Callahan. Telep currently teaches at the University of Central Florida .
life and career
Telep was born in Yonkers , New York State . When he was about four years old, he moved his family to Long Island , where he spent much of his childhood. He was later a student at Southampton College . After college, he pursued a career as a screenwriter for film and television. He then spent a few years in Los Angeles , where he met a lot of celebrities and worked on television series such as In the Heat of the Night and The Legend of Prince Ironheart . He then went to the University of Central Florida , where he did his master's degree . Since then he has been teaching script writing, composition and giving creative writing courses. He is also a certified indoor cycling trainer and trains weekly with students in the local gym. In his spare time he is an avid outdoor cyclist.
