Peter Vest (born September 24, 1962 ) is a German economist and energy expert for renewable and conventional energies.

Life

The father of two daughters, who has been married since 1992, began his professional career as a university assistant at the Chair of Business Administration at the University of Mainz , where he was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. with " summa cum laude " doctorate and received an award of Teves Foundation. From September 1994 to December 1998 he was also Scientific Director of the Research Institute for Economic Policy (FfW) at the University of Mainz.

In January 1996 he founded the InterCom Group with four partners and was managing partner of the company until June 2003, an agency for marketing , communication and sponsoring with subsidiaries in Mainz , Wolfsburg , Prague and Barcelona .

In July 2003, Vest moved to EnBW AG as Head of Marketing and was responsible for brand management , marketing and sales strategy , business development and communication for all EnBW brands (e.g. EnBW, Yello Strom , NaturEnergie AG , Watt).

In May 2006 he was appointed head of the “Sales Private and Commercial Customers” division of EnBW AG, responsible for marketing and sales strategy in the private customer business of EnBW, Yello Strom, NaturEnergie AG, investments. He was spokesman for the management of Yello Strom, spokesman for the management of SüdBest GmbH with responsibility for EnBW's SüdBest customer loyalty program. He had overall responsibility for long-term strategy and innovations, marketing and sales at EnBW and was also a member of the supervisory board of EnSO Energie Sachsen Ost, GESO Beteiligungs- und Beratungs-AG, DREWAG Stadtwerke Dresden GmbH , EnBW Vertriebs- und Servicegesellschaft mbH and EnBW Kraftwerke AG and member of the advisory board of VWEW Energieverlag .

In January 2010, Vest became a board member of Kofler Energies AG. He is responsible for the areas of energy trading and private customer business. Vest is a member of the supervisory board of Kofler Energies Power AG and chairman of the board of Kofler Energies Club AG, a subsidiary of Kofler Energies AG, which specializes in increasing energy efficiency in private households. After the failed market launch of the Kofler Energies Club, Vest is leaving Kofler Energie AG.

In 2012 Vest became a managing partner of IRE Energie Consulting GmbH .

Since the beginning of 2014 he has been a managing partner at WIRCON GmbH with the WIRSOL brand, which focuses on large-scale wind and photovoltaic projects, small-scale photovoltaic systems for private customers and large-scale photovoltaic systems.

Vest was also the board member of the Solar Cluster Baden-Württemberg eV from the end of 2014 to the beginning of December 2016
