There he was supposed to replace Rob Wielaert, who had migrated to Ajax Amsterdam . At the end of the season Wisgerhof was the Dutch runner-up with the team and failed in the cup final on penalties at SC Heerenveen . The following year he celebrated the first championship title for the Tukkers with Twente . In the 2010/11 season he succeeded Blaise Nkufos as team captain of FC Twente. His contract was extended in December 2010 to the end of the 2012/13 season with an option for another season. On July 1, 2014, he moved to FC Twente Enschede . After the 2014/15 season he ended his active time.
