Peter Zudeick (born November 4, 1946 in Haan ) is a German journalist .

Life

Growing up in Solingen , Peter Zudeick began his professional career as a police officer before studying German , pedagogy , philosophy and theater studies in Cologne from 1967 . After the state examination , he received his doctorate in philosophy with a thesis on Ernst Bloch .

In 1976 Zudeick worked as a trainee at the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger in the politics department. In 1980 he switched to radio at SWF 3 in Baden-Baden , where he worked as a reporter and presenter and from 1982 as a correspondent in Bonn . Since 1985 he has worked as a freelance journalist and correspondent for several radio stations (including WDR, NDR, SWR, MDR, HR, RB) and newspaper editors. For several years he has moderated the program Der Tag on hr2-kultur at irregular intervals . The focus of his work today is on political reports, comments, analyzes, background information, but also satirical glosses such as his Satirical Weekly Review with commented original sayings from politicians. These are so popular that a selection has been released on CD.

Peter Zudeick is occasionally invited to the WDR press club .

In his work Tschüss, ihr da oben from 2009, Zudeick criticizes leaders in politics and business, the Agenda 2010 and increasing impoverishment in Germany. With recourse to philosophers such as Plato and Karl Marx , he establishes a contradiction between justice and capitalism and recommends a new extra-parliamentary opposition to capitalism.

In 2013, the Bonn Labor Court dismissed Zudeick's action against Hessischer Rundfunk. With her he wanted to ensure that the broadcaster employs him beyond the age of 65 or pays compensation for lost fees.
