Peter von Schultz

Peter von Schultz , actually Ernst-Henning von Schultz , (born October 16, 1926 , † February 2015 in Hamburg ) was a German actor , director and radio play speaker .

Life

With short interruptions, Peter von Schultz worked for almost forty years on the stage of the Altona Theater in Hamburg as an actor and director. Towards the end of the manager Hans Fitze's era , he briefly held the position of interim manager. Even after the stage was closed, von Schultz remained closely connected to the theater and staged various stage programs, for example the staged collage "Vida Apasionada" about Frida Kahlo with Veronika Kranich, a former colleague from the Altona Theater ensemble.

Schultz also became known to a wide audience through his numerous roles in radio play productions. For various labels such as EUROPA , maritim and PEG he embodied well-known characters from various works of world literature such as the public prosecutor "Villefort" in Alexandre Dumas' Count of Monte Christo , the "Prince John" in Eberhard Alexander-Burgh's Robin Hood adaptation, the "Messala" in Ben Hur based on William Wallace , the title role in Robinson Crusoe , "Athos" in Dumas' The Three Musketeers and Old Shatterhand in Konrad Halver's adaptation of Karl May's The Oil Prince .
