Peter von Spreckelsen (senior age)

Peter von Spreckelsen (born May 5, 1613 in Hamburg ; † May 4, 1665 ibid) was a Hamburg senior citizen .

Origin and family

Spreckelsen was a son of the senior elder of the same name in the parish of Sankt Katharinen and councilor Peter von Spreckelsen († 1630).

On November 23, 1640 he married Margaretha Schrötteringk (1619–1695), daughter of the mayor Johann Schrötteringk (1588–1676). From this marriage three sons, Johann, Peter and Lucas emerged. The son Peter (1643-1684) was in 1673 Amtshauptmann in Wredenhagen .

Live and act

Spreckelsen was elected to the cattle accise on March 22, 1643 , 1644 to the admiralty customs and fortification and 1645 to the building yard citizen. On September 24, 1645 he was elected war commissioner , on December 28, 1646 to the bank and on September 22, 1647 to the Bakenzoll . In 1649 he became a member of the Hamburg Admiralty College . On March 4, 1650, he became a civil judge at the Hamburg Lower Court . In 1651 he became a jurat in the parish of Sankt Petri and finally on June 4, 1651 also an artillery citizen .

On February 7, 1653, Spreckelsen was elected senior elder in the parish of Sankt Petri for the late Albert Schulte (1576-1652). As such he was sworn corpse in 1655 and in 1656 President of the College of the Elderly.
