Petr Skarke
Petr Skarke (born March 23, 1943 in Prague , † April 15, 1999 there ) was a Czech actor .
Life
Skarke grew up partly in the Giant Mountains , where his parents ran a hotel and restaurant business , and with his grandparents in Brno . After graduating from high school , he first worked in an engineering office in Brno, but then, despite resistance from his parents, he enrolled at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He had engagements as a stage actor at the city theaters of Uherské Hradiště (1962–1963), Příbram (1963–1965), Liberec (1965–1967), Pardubice (1967–1969), Český Těšín (1969–1970) and in Ústí nad Labem (1970).
He stood in front of the film camera for the first time in 1962 in the short film Hadrníčci . He had his first major role in 1969 in the psychodrama Zabitá nedele . From the early 1970s, Skarke worked exclusively for film and television, but was mostly only used in supporting roles. In 1971 he played the role of a consultant in the fairy tale film Prince Bajaja . He had a bigger role in 1971 as soldier Jan in the drama Velikonoční dovolená . In 1975 he took over the acting role of the stupid farmer's son Wenzel ( Jenik ) in the film adaptation of the opera The Bartered Bride .
In the 1970s he was often seen in DEFA and GDR television production . He often took on smaller roles in fairy tale films. In 1973, directed by Ralf Kirsten, he played the role of Koehler in a film adaptation of the novel The Elixirs of the Devil by ETA Hoffmann in a co-production of East German TV and Czechoslovak TV. In 1975 he was seen in the third part of the multi-part ZDF television film Des Christoffel von Grimmelshausen adventurous Simplicissimus by Fritz Umgelter . He also starred in the television series The Fairytale Bride in 1979 . He also embodied the character Hartl in the GDR crime series Hazardous Fahndung (1978).
At the beginning of the 1990s he also appeared in supporting roles in the Vilsmaier movie Stalingrad (1993), in the literary film adaptation of The Trial and in Kaspar Hauser .
