Petra Lucia Guttenberger (* 28. March 1962 in Nuremberg ) is a German politician of the Christian Social Union , and since 1998 a member of the Bavarian Parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1981 at the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium in Fürth and two state law exams in 1987 and 1990, she worked as a senior government councilor for the Free State of Bavaria . Since September 2016 she has been the holder of the bronze medal for municipal services, since December 2015 she has been the holder of the Bavarian Constitutional Medal in silver and in June 2018 she received the Bavarian Order of Merit .

Guttenberger is Protestant and lives in Fürth.

Political career

Guttenberger was a member of the Junge Union from 1980 to 1997 and joined the CSU and the Women's Union in 1982 . In 1994 she became deputy state chairwoman of the Women's Union, from 1995 to 2014 she was a city councilor in Fürth and has been a member of the Bavarian state parliament since 1998. There she was a member of the Committee for Education, Youth and Sport and the Committee for Submissions and Complaints until 2003. Guttenberger has been a member of the Committee on Constitutional, Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Issues of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2003, to which she was deputy chairman of the committee from 2008 to 2018 and of which she has been chairman - now expanded to include the subject of integration - since December 2018. From 2003 to 2008 she was a member of the Committee on Public Service Issues and from 1998 to 2008 the Data Protection Commission. She represents the district of Fürth ( Middle Franconia ), which includes the cities of Fürth and, since 2008, the cities of Oberasbach , Stein and Zirndorf , in the state parliament. Guttenberg is currently a member of the Council of Elders, Chair of the Committee on Constitution, Law, Parliamentary Questions and Integration and a member of the Judges' Election Commission in the Bavarian State Parliament.

Volunteering

Guttenberger has been a part-time lecturer at the state college for agricultural economics since 1990. Formerly also at the Bavarian Financial College.

She is deputy district chairwoman of the Bavarian Red Cross , district association Fürth and deputy district chairwoman of the Bavarian Red Cross, district association Upper and Middle Franconia, as well as a member of the state board, district chairwoman of the VdK district association Fürth (since 2005), deputy district chairwoman of the Europa-Union district association Fürth, member the Bavarian Finance Union , the Citizens' Movement for Human Dignity in Middle Franconia, the DLRG , the Association of Friends and Supporters of Oncology and Palliative Medicine at the Fürth Clinic , the Emergency Medicine Working Group, the Rundfunkmuseum Support Association, the Frauenhaus e. V. Fürth, the Fürther Tafel e. V., and many more. She is a member of the board of trustees of the Evangelical School Foundation Fürth and the Community Foundation Fürth as well as the Foundation for Victims Aid Bavaria.
