Petra Lidschreiber

Petra Maria Lidschreiber (born July 19, 1951 in Munich ) is a German television journalist and presenter .

After attending the German School of Journalism in Munich and internships at the Münchner Abendzeitung and SWR , she studied economics , political science and economics at the Free University of Berlin , at Duke University in Durham, NC (USA) and at the London School of Economics . In 1978 she received her doctorate from the Free University of Berlin. rer. pole.

When WDR she began her career in 1979 as a television journalist in the business section. From 1992 to 1997 she was a correspondent for ARD in the New York studio , then in the Bonn studio. In November she became editor-in-chief for television at Sender Freies Berlin (SFB).

After the merger with the ORB in 2003, she continued to hold this position at the newly created station RBB until October 2006. From 1999 to 2006 she also moderated the political magazine Kontraste and numerous special programs on ARD and RBB. From November 2006 she headed the Central and Eastern Europe editorial team at RBB. On December 31, 2016, Lidschreiber retired.
