Petra Polk , née Möller, (born July 27, 1964 in Wittichenau ) is a German management consultant , author , speaker and moderator . In 2010 she founded the national women's network WIN Women in Network. She is also the editor of the magazine die GewINnerin .

Live and act

Petra Polk grew up in her birthplace Wittichenau, a small town in Saxony . After graduating from high school in Frankfurt (Oder) in 1984 and training as a retail specialist, she initially worked as a specialist saleswoman in the food retail sector from 1986 to 1989, before moving up to the branch management in 1989. From 1990 to 1998 she worked as a sales consultant in the field, also in the food industry, for the family business Raps in Kulmbach , and in 1999 she started her own catering service. In 2003 she first switched back to an employee relationship in sales at Allianz in Dresden and from 2004 in Munich , before returning to self-employment in 2007 as a financial advisor at Telis Finanz AG. In 2013 she laid the foundation stone for her Petra Polk brand as a management consultant in the areas of marketing and sales and established herself as a keynote speaker. In 2017 she changed her company headquarters from Munich to Kastellaun .

From 2015 Petra Polk has also been working as a non-fiction author on the topics of networks, corporate management, careers and success for women. Her first book as a sole author, Like - How to network yourself to the top , was published in 2015. It deals with aspects of network maintenance online and offline, deals with the use of social media for targeted contact initiation and maintenance and gives tips for the Entry into networking. The Startup Valley Magazine hereinafter referred to her as "an expert in building successful business networks". The book Success with Networking: Making (Linking) Contacts Online and Offline, which was published by Haufe-Verlag in 2019, is also dedicated to this topic with a focus on the strategic use of network activities in sales. That also in 2019 in Wiley-VCH published Take your success into your own hands: Power for Women is a success and career counselor for women.

Polk has blogged since 2014 and also writes for the magazine Expertise der Messe für Frauen in der Wirtschaft women & work as well as for the career magazine of the business publisher Schäffer-Pöschel , which belongs to the Haufe Group , Karriereboost . In 2020 she also initiated a publishing company under the name Petra Polk Verlag. Publications are planned in collaboration with Eva Laspas in the field of non-fiction and advice with a focus on marketing, sales and entrepreneurship.

In addition to her work as a speaker, Petra Polk has been active as a moderator of panels and discussion events since 2013, around 2018 for the International Economic Council on the topic of diversity .

Petra Polk is married to Eckhard Lienert for the second time and lives in the Hunsrück . She has two children from her first marriage and two grandchildren.

WIN Women in Network

Petra Polk founded the WIN Women in Network together with Algunda de Reuter. It was presented at an opening event in Munich on February 2, 2010 and has been a registered trademark since 2011. Its aim is to network women professionally and commercially across the region in face-to-face meetings and virtually, to create a platform for exchanging ideas with women on an equal footing and to give women "visibility and a voice in the market". The target group are women entrepreneurs in small and medium-sized companies as well as women in management positions. It is represented nationwide in the DA-CH region with events and further training offers.

As of 2016, the WIN Women in Network brand includes the WIN Community, WIN Agency and WIN Medien. In addition to regular network meetings and annual congresses, the network conducts workshops, seminars and webinars. In 2017 the headquarters of WIN Women in Network were relocated from Munich to Kastellaun. In the same year, a coaching academy was added with WIN Campus, a “training portal from women for women”, which has been run as the WIN academy since 2019. In June 2017, the network's office opened with an office in Kastellaun.

The WIN Medien division published the first book project Women's Paths to Success in March 2016. In November 2016, the first issue of the career magazine for women, die geWINnerin, was presented, for which Petra Polk is the editor. The first magazine appeared with a first edition of 20,000 copies in February 2017 as part of the WIN Business Congress in Munich. Eva-Maria Popp was the editor-in-chief for the first four issues, from issue 6 (March 2020) Linda Benkö was responsible. It appears twice a year in print format.
